Valldemossa village is the greatest beauty of Mallorca Island. It is among mountains and overlooking a valley. There are no hotel complexes of great dimension, which ensures a quiet and exclusive holiday living the authenticity of the Sierra de Tramuntana, declared World heritage by Unesco in June 2011.
There is a restaurant on the beach known for its excellent fish dishes, swimming and diving. If you want you can visit Deia Cove. Puerto de Soller is a beautiful place to visit, with its large sandy beach with boat rides and pedal boating. Soller has also the old steam train that takes you through the mountains to Palma.
Valldemossa center is at 2 minute walk, where you will find all you need to make your stay comfortable. There is a local supermarket, corner bakeries, pharmacies, banks, shops, bars, restaurant Valldemossa. There is also an easy access to the great outdoors for walkers and cyclists, and for young children playground.
The sea is 6 km. far and Palma and the airport are 18 km. away. It is a good starting point for excursions by car or walking and climbing to Teix and all the Tramuntana landscape.
You can visit the Cartuja, impressive XIVth Century monument, which worths a visit. In summer months, there is a very important piano festival, honoring Frederic Chopin.
Last week of July the village party is held, which is a very typical event. The village is filled with children dressed in the ancient manners, and on the 28th of July a parade where the donkeys, and carts decorated, throughout the village is held. There are several restaurants where to eat the traditional Mallorcan kitchen. Son Termens Golf course is located about 10 kilometers far.
Valldemossa is a small village where everybody knows each other. All the guests are warmly welcome in the small and narrow streets. Sunsets on the sea are really delightful. There are public buses to go to Palma, Deià and Sóller.
